Panhuyzen guitars are appreciated for their balance, colours, clear singing trebles, sonorous basses, and easy playability.
There are several models and various combinations from which to choose, including a flat or domed soundboard, standard or elevated fingerboard, and a Fleta reproduction

 

Choice of materials

for the soundboard:
European spruce, Canadian cedar, Englemann spruce, Sitka spruce, Sequoia

for the back & sides:
Indian rosewood, Brazilian rosewood, European maple, Zyricote

for the neck:
Spanish cedar or Honduras mahogany

for the fingerboard:
African ebony

Tuning machines:
Rodgers, Sloane or Gotoh

The standard finish is shellac French polish on the soundboard, and nitrocellulose lacquer on the body and neck.
French polish on the entire guitar is an option.

 

Kolya builds only one guitar at a time for maximum control and concentration.
Very important is the choice and combination of woods, the accurate tuning of soundboard and body, and clean workmanship.

 

Prices for a Panhuyzen guitar start at € 5200.
As of September 1, 2009 starting price will be €5500.-
